Foot Patrol
Our Partnership
The Foot Patrol is a joint initiative of the Student Federation and Protection Services who believe there is "Safety in Numbers." This service was created early 90's by Protection Services, the Women Centre and the Student Federation of the University of Ottawa. Since then, thousands of members of our community use this free service yearly.
Their Role
The Foot Patrol helps safeguard the well-being of students, professors and staff by working to prevent, detect and ultimately reduce crime. By enhancing your safety and peace of mind, the Foot Patrol improves the quality of life on campus.Their mandate
- To escort individuals or groups of individuals to their destinations, on or off campus;
- To patrol the campus and inform Protection Services of any safety concerns or incidents on campus;
- To raise public awareness of personal safety and act as a source of information.
