What is Crime Stoppers?
Crime Stoppers is a community based program that assists law enforcement agencies in the resolution of crime. By offering cash rewards for anonymous tips, Crime Stoppers encourages local citizens to provide this vital information. The Crime Stoppers program guarantees the anonymity of the tipster. Crime Stoppers programs have been highly successful in reducing the crime rate in many other cities in Canada and the United States.
Any individual with knowledge of a crime can call or text with their information to 613-233-TIPS (233-8477) or 1-800-222-8477..
People can also confidentially submit a tip by accessing our web site at: www.crimestoppers.ca. the information will be identified by a code number which will be given to the caller.
Crime Stoppers does not subscribe to call display. The telephone call will not be recorded and the tipster will not have to testify in court. If the information leads to an arrest or charges, the caller may qualify for a cash reward up to $2000.00
